To maintain a productive, fair, safe and rewarding standard, and a satisfying education environment.

Goals of TRAINING DEPARTMENT

The Goals of the Training Department can be summarized as follows.

1. Improve the professional skills and knowledge of Virtual Pilots and Virtual Air Traffic Controllers.
2. Improve the leadership skills and competencies of Virtual Pilots and Virtual Air Traffic Controllers.
3. Ensure accountability for competent work performance and appropriate behavior as well as to identify and reward outstanding performance.
4. Establish and use systems and processes that are fair and performance - based.
5. Assess members' level of satisfaction with their quality of work life. Continue to communicate with members regarding their level of satisfaction.
6. Assist and guide new vACC’s as required from the initial phase to steer them toward gaining Official Status within VATEUD
7. To take over vACC Training matters as required in event individual vACC’s stop performing or suffer from lack of qualified personnel.

To achieve the above mentioned Goals, The VATEUD Training Department was reorganized.
There are three departments. Each Department has its Manager and team members.

The Departments has been established on the following idea.

SET THE STANDARDS ->TEACH THE STANDARDS -> EVALUATE THE PERFORMANCE -> CERTIFY THE PERFORMANCE -> KEEP THE RECORDS.

So, Standardization dept. will be preparing the standards, and ask Academy to train their people and evaluate their performance.
Finally Administration Dept. will keep the records and certify the performance.
As the tasks of each department are interrelated with the tasks of other departments, it is my duty to ensure the coordination with the kind assistance of the Assistant Training Director.

STANDARDIZATION DEPT.

Standardization Department fulfills responsibilities that are a key part of the VATEUD TRAINING Department's constant effort to ensure safety in the skies.
SD will set certification standards for air controllers, air carriers, commercial operators, air agencies, and airmen.

Standardization Department has four sub-departments.

1. DEPARTMENT OF EUROTEST
   Theoretical knowledge is the essential part of the aviation. Air Traffic Controllers and Pilots are supposed to display a professional performance when they are on a duty. Eurotest Department is the instrument to judge the theoretical skills of candidates.
   
   Eurotest Department is responsible for :
   1. The preparation of Eurotest.
   2. The Evaluation of the eurotest taken by the applicants.
   3. The constant development of Eurotest
       
2. DEPARTMENT OF ATC EXAMINERS
   ATC examiners are the high rank controllers performing the:
   1. Practical tests of ATCOs of different levels.
   2. Standardization tests of TDs of vACCs. (details will follow)

There are 2 kind of Examiners.
    · Country examiners who performs practical tests in his vACC only
    · Division Examiners who performs practical test within the VATEUR.
 
3. DEPARTMENT OF CONTROL PILOTS
   Department of Control pilots employs the pilots of high skill who can fly any assignment given by the ATC Examiner.
   Control pilots are supposed to work in coordination with ATC examiners. Their duties are to fly during the practical tests of Air Controllers fully in compliance with the assignment given by the ATC Examiner.

4. VACC SUPPORT DEPARTMENT
   The vACC support Department exist to help
   
   • newly formed vACC’s
   • existing but underperforming vACC’s
   • semi dormant vACC’s
   gain or regain, as the case may be, the required expertise, knowledge, content, as well as will and local pride to be awarded an Official Status within VATEUD.

AVIATION ACADEMY

The VATSIM - EUD Aviation Academy (VATEUR-AA) is established as the training arm of the VATSIM - EUD.
It implements training programs, which conform to ICAO'S and JAA's standards and recommended practices, to meet needs for both Pilots and Air Traffic Controllers.

Through its two specialized departments - Department of Flight School and Department of Air Traffic Services.
 
By consistently staying ahead of developments taking place in Virtual Flying, VATEUD-AA is able to develop new programs not readily available elsewhere. VATEUR-AA also offers degree and graduate diploma programs as well as quality certificates.

1. DEPARTMENT OF FLIGHT SCHOOL
   Vatsim-Eur Aviation Academy Department of Flight School aims to train Flight Instructors for the below mentioned positions.
   
   • Flight Instructor for Virtual Flight schools.
   • Flight Instructor for Virtual airlines.
      
2. DEPARTMENT OF AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL SCHOOL
   Vatsim-Eur Aviation Academy Department of Air Traffic Control School aims to train ATC Senior Controllers and pre check and prepare Instructors for the below mentioned positions.
   
   • ATC Instructors for the Training Department of vACC's.

Senior Controllers (by request from individuals or vACC Directors)

ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT

Administration Department will be:

1. Keeping records of the members related to Training matters.
2. Certifying the performance of the members.
3. Designing and giving maintenance to the web page of Training dept.

TD is aiming to give service to the members on the WEB Platform.
To give you a small idea about what it is, let me give you an example.
On the new designed WEB SITE, Controllers will be able to request CPT from the examiners, and Examiners will report their CPT evaluation on the WEB in certain format. We will ensure dynamic environment, so that many hand works will be eliminated.
